• The author has spent a lot of time serving people on the margins - homeless, incarcerated, struggling with addiction - and gives some really powerful stories to illustrate what it means to be compassionate to others the way God is compassionate. I love that this book isn't a "churchy" book. It's very life and very relational. I highly recommend pastors, congregants and everyday people who struggle with the idea of God to all read this book!
